This will be Jacqueline Fernandez's first stint in acting and Aladdin seems to be a really good debut for the lass. Back in Sri Lanka, she was working as an anchorwoman in a business programme called Lanka Business Report and also wrote a weekly column for a top newspaper.
Aladdin stars Amitabh Bachchan playing the genie while Riteish Deshmukh essays the title role. Sanjay Dutt is also a part of this film. Vishal and Shekhar are doing the music.

Middle class of Sri Lanka
It is now time for you to make up your mind. There is an important topic you have avoided discussing so far, and it is high time you did it now.
So in Sri Lanka today, we have a generation of young men and women who ‘dream’ of become a 'Star',go to Italy, get a goverment-job and Cricket, but there are few signs of environmental lawyers, quality journalists and film-makers, professors with Sri Lanka-specific research interests and politicians from the middle class. So what about young generation who are trying to be 'Stars' made by televition networks?
Understanding middle Sri Lanka’s relationship with English is crucial. Knowledge of English, together with mass media and the internet puts middle Sri Lanka in a very interesting position. It is in some sense, ‘pre-western’. The combination of comfort with English, combined with the relatively liberal political and media environment of Sri Lanka, is resulting in a huge American influence on this middle class.
I am accusing you, the middle-class Sri Lankan, with good reason. Usually the reason for the existence of idiotic laws is that some interest groups benefit from them. This is true of laws related to agricultural land too. Corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and land sharks derive their power from this rule. Industrialist prefer to grab land through politicians rather than buy it and leftists use the opportunity to extract their pound of flesh in the name of protecting the interests of the poor. And people like you who have no idea of village life, whose parents or grand parents have abandoned a lifestyle in favour of city dwelling, still continue to insist on romanticizing the village and agriculture. It is this attitude that makes it almost impossible to find any columnist or editor who will say that farmers should be allowed to sell their land.

Sri Lankan porn websites block
A Sri Lankan court has ordered a dozen websites to be blocked for allegedly containing pornographic material involving local women and children.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Nishantha Hapuarachchi said the censorship order was issued following a police complaint that some videos contained Sri Lankan women and children and that the free access to the sites corrupted society.
The websites' owners have 14 days to respond and if they do not, the TRC has been asked to continue blocking those sites, the magistrate was quoted as saying.
Porn is now banned,Already you can feel the tension in the country as boys (and some girls) keep hitting F5(Windows refresh key) in the hopes that it is a temporary error, but alas, it is not.
Basically Internet providers like to prevent access to these websites. Education and corporate networks such as offices, college, school networks or public libraries and even Internet cafes - anywhere that might have filtered Internet connection. so you may wondering how to access these websites?
But some people say it is an 'The Undemocratic Ban on Porn'!

ඇතැම් පුද්ගලයන් නින්දෙන් ගෙරවීම සාමාන්ය තත්ත්වයක් යෑයි බොහෝ දෙනා විශ්වාස කරති. එහෙත් නින්දෙන් ගෙරවීම මාරාන්තික රෝග ලක්ෂණයක් බව වෛද්යවරුන් විසින් හඳුනාගෙන ඇත. නින්දේදී ගොරවන පුද්ගලයකු නිදාගත් විට ඔහුගේ පෙනහලුවලට සැපයෙන ඔක්සිජන් ප්රමාණය අවම වේ. මේ තත්ත්වය නිසා සිරුරට අවශ්ය ඔක්සිජන් අඩුවීම හේතුවෙන් මරණය පවා සිදුවිය හැකි බව වෛද්ය මතයයි.
එහෙත් නින්දේදී ගොරවන සෑම පුද්ගලයෙක්ම මෙම රෝගයෙන් පෙළෙන්නේ නැත. නමුත් බහුතරයක් මෙම රෝගයට ගොදුරු විය හැකිය. කෙසේ වුවද මේ සම්බන්ධව පරීක්ෂා කිරීම සඳහා නින්ද පිළිබඳ පර්යේෂණාගාර හෙවත් Sකැeච ඛ්ඉ පහසුකම් රෝහල්වල ස්ථාපිත කළ යුතුය. ලෝකයේ බොහෝ රටවල මෙවැනි පර්යේෂණාගාර රෝහල් ආශ්රිතව පිහිටුවා ඇති අතර, ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ද පළමු වරට අත්හදා බැලීමේ මට්ටමින් එවැනි පර්යේෂණාගාරයක් කොළඹ ජාතික රෝහලේ කන, නාසය හා උගුර පිළිබඳ ඒකකයේ මේ වනවිට ස්ථාපිත කර ඇත. මෙම පර්යේෂණාගාරය මගින් සිදුකරන ලද මුල්ම රෝගී පරීක්ෂණය පසුගිය සතියේ කන, නාසය හා උගුර පිළිබඳ විශේෂඥ වෛද්ය චන්ද්ර ජයසූරිය මහත්මියගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ කරන ලදී. මේ සඳහා එම අංශයේ වෛද්ය ආර්. පී, දයාසේන සහ වෛද්ය එස්. පී. පෙරේරා යන මහත්වරු දායකත්වය සපයා ඇත.
