The special scheme is as follows.
· Ministry of Higher education with the partnership with several banks provide a special student loan to purchase a laptop and an internet dongle (Mobitel is not involved in this process)
· Student after being approved for the student loan visits an Abans show room to collect the laptop (Mobitel is not involved in this process)
· Student visits a Mobitel location to collect the dongle (The payment is processed through banks so student does not have to pay anything)
· The student package is as follows.
o Dongle purchase price – Rs.1,930 (E173)
o Refundable package deposit – Rs.1,000
o Eligible packages – BB240, Zoom475, Zoom590
o Connection fee – Free
o Minimum contract period – 12months from the connection date

Also please note that this offer is not available as a standalone product and is only provided in partnership with the Ministry of Higher education after the student loan is approved by the bank.
Therefore students who are not eligible for this offer cannot use this offer. The eligible students will be notified by the Ministry of Higher Education Only.

5. How can a customer obtain this offer?
· After collecting the Lap Top from Abans, the Student has to visit the nearest Mobitel Touch Point along with the following mandatory documents. ( Pls. refeer the Attached List for Details of the closest Mobitel Touch Point to the Abans Location)
§ Purchase order received from bank (approved copy)
§ Mobitel Voucher approved by Abans
§ NIC of the customer
§ University ID / Bank pass book or any equal ant Billing Proof
· Customer has to sign a Mobitel agreement committing to stay with the network for 12 consecutive months from the date of activation
6. Can the Broadband connection get connected to a third party/family member of the original customer?
No. This offer is only valid for the original customer; University student
7. What if the student has an outstanding for connections registered at Mobitel for his/her NIC number?
The customer has to settle the previous outstanding prior to obtain the new connection
8. How many connections can a customer obtain for this offer?
A customer is eligible to obtain one Broadband modem & connection
9. Can a customer obtain this offer on cash basis?
No
10. Are package changes allowed in this offer?
Yes. If the customer wishes to upgrade to Zoom 890 or 1290, the customer has to settle the balance deposit amount
11. Can a customer disconnect the connection before 12 months?
Yes but the customer cannot obtain the refundable deposit of Rs. 1000. It will be forfeited
