A US filmmaker has fulfilled a childhood dream of swimming with blue whales – and he captured every minute of the fascinating experience on camera.
Patrick Dykstra snapped mesmerising underwater shots as he swam with the majestic creatures, and recorded incredible video from above using a remote-control drone.
The Denver-born filmmaker’s thrilling encounters occurred in the Indian Ocean, off the coast of Sri Lanka, on a number of trips over the last six years.
